UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that ‘Governments that crack down on migrants are only harming themselves’ in reference to U.S. immigration policies under President Donald Trump.

Guterres recently presented an audacious plan to the UN General Assembly on ways in which to rehouse and resettle over 258 million refugees, primarily from third world countries.

Nikki Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, shot back at the proposed, international immigration directive saying, ‘our decisions on immigration policies must always be made by Americans and Americans alone’.

President Trump recently proposed gigantic budget cuts to the United Nations over international backlash to the naming of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has taken many veiled swipes at President Trump, recently suggesting that Mr. Trump’s brand of nationalist politics are destroying the world.
